PHILCAMSAT nominated for 2025 Crew Welfare Service Provider Award
APRIL 25, 2025

PHILCAMSAT has been honored with a nomination for the Crew Welfare Service Provider Award at the 2025 Crew Welfare Awards organized by Safety4Sea.
This prestigious award is given to a service provider that has made significant contributions to improving crew welfare. PHILCAMSAT’s nomination recognizes its groundbreaking BRIDGE Program (Building Resiliency in Diverse Global Environments)—a proactive initiative that addresses the mental health and overall well-being of global maritime professionals (GMPs). The winners will be announced during the 5th Crew Welfare Week on June 24, a global platform that highlights excellence and innovation in crew care.
Launched even before the onset of COVID-19, the BRIDGE Program reflects a forward-thinking approach to mental wellness in the maritime sector. At its core, the program promotes open dialogue about mental health onboard vessels and trains GMPs to identify signs of emotional distress and support one another. Through key modules like HELM (Human Element in Leadership and Management), Cultural Sensitivity and Diversity Training, and Behavior-Based Safety Implementation, the program equips seafarers with practical tools to handle stress, improve safety, and foster inclusive and resilient shipboard environments.
With over 10,000 GMPs trained through BRIDGE, the program has gained widespread recognition for its relevance and positive impact. Seafarers have cited improvements in leadership, interpersonal relationships, and cultural adaptability as key outcomes. PHILCAMSAT’s nomination is not only a proud milestone for the organization but a powerful affirmation of its commitment to shaping a safer, more compassionate, and human-centered maritime workforce.
PTC Group employees are encouraged to support PHILCAMSAT’s nomination by casting their vote at https://crewwelfareweek.com/awards/#service-provider. Online voting is open until May 16.
