FAA’s 1st female foreign student takes flight

Ms. Mahnoor Sohail, FAA’s very first female foreign student from Pakistan, has successfully completed her first solo flight—a milestone every pilot remembers for a lifetime - last April 8, 2025, at the FAA campus in Subic.

With determination in her heart and clear skies ahead, Mahnoor took to the cockpit alone for the very first time, showcasing not only her growing skill and confidence but also the strength and courage it takes to break barriers. Her solo flight is more than just a check on her training progress—it’s a symbol of her unwavering spirit and a beacon of inspiration for aspiring female aviators around the world.

From the moment she arrived in the Philippines, Mahnoor embraced every challenge with grace and grit. Today, she soars not just for herself, but for every young girl who dreams of flying beyond borders and expectations.
